From a vision to a home
Napastaa Children's Home was born from a simple but powerful belief: no child should grow up without safety, love, and opportunity.
Operating under The Ark Trust Foundation, we drew inspiration from the biblical ark — a vessel of preservation, protection, and hope. Just as the ark protected life during a storm, we exist to protect and nurture Kenya's most vulnerable children.
What began as a vision to serve a handful of orphaned children in Nairobi has grown into a full-service children's home providing education, healthcare, nutrition, shelter, and a genuine family experience to over 200 children.
We are registered, transparent, and deeply rooted in the Kenyan community. Our doors are open regardless of background, religion, or ethnicity — because every child matters.
🌱 The Ark Trust is established
Founded with a clear mandate: protect posterity by investing in Kenya's children and youth. The first children are welcomed into care.
📚 Education program launches
First children enrolled in school — fees paid, uniforms provided, ensuring no child misses out due to poverty.
🍽️ Feeding program expands
Community kitchen grows to serve children in the surrounding neighbourhood, beyond our home walls.
🏠 200+ children in holistic care
Over 200 children served with education, feeding, healthcare, and shelter — and growing.
