We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds. Here are some of the ways people contribute:
Support children with homework, reading, maths, or a subject you specialise in.
Any day ยท Remote optionMusic, drama, football, art โ any skill you bring enriches a child's world.
Weekends welcomeTeach computer literacy, coding basics, or help with our website and social media.
Remote friendlyDoctors, nurses, dentists, and counsellors offering periodic clinics for our children.
Periodic visitsHelp in our kitchen or teach cooking, sewing, and practical life skills to older children.
On-siteCapture stories, produce our newsletter, or support fundraising communications.
FlexibleNot necessarily โ a caring heart goes a long way. For sensitive roles we may ask for references or a short orientation.
We welcome short-term and long-term volunteers. Even a single Saturday is valuable. Regular weekly commitment is preferred for tutoring.
Yes โ digital, creative, and administrative roles can often be done remotely. Contact us and we'll explore what works.
Volunteers should generally be 18 or older. Youth groups and schools can visit and contribute in organised group activities.
Short-term volunteers (under 90 days) generally do not need a work permit in Kenya. Check with your local Kenyan embassy for current guidance.
